Stipendium Hungaricum, bilateral arrangements and institutional awards have distinct eligibility and coverage. Some calls require nomination by a sending partner and use deadlines independent of the university's self-funded route.

Employment access depends on citizenship and residence conditions. Verify current limits and employer requirements before accepting work, and do not make tuition or living plans depend on immediate earnings.

Budapest has the broadest programme and housing market and is usually the highest-cost option. Debrecen, Szeged, Pécs, Miskolc and Győr offer different rental, transport and campus conditions; build the working budget in HUF.

Budapest is the largest academic centre, while Debrecen, Szeged and Pécs host major international university communities and other cities provide specialised programmes. Confirm the faculty's actual teaching location.

Dormitory capacity and eligibility vary by institution and scholarship status. Compare confirmed dormitory offers with verified private rentals, including deposits, utilities, contract length and transport to campus.
